Game Recap

Runs At A Premium As the Kingsmen Defeats The Dalles.

Both teams were strong on the mound Friday, but Kingsmen defeated The Dalles 3-2. The hurlers for both teams only gave up six hits in the contest.

The Kingsmen took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning. Zack Creswick doubled off of #14, driving in two runs.

Joey Geertsen started the game for Kingsmen. He threw three innings, giving up one run, four hits, and striking out two. Jordan Proudfoot finished the rest of the game, earning the win for Putnam. #14 took the loss for The Dalles. He tossed six innings, surrendering three runs, six hits, striking out two, and walking one.

The Kingsmen collected six hits. Kody Hall and Creswick each collected multiple hits, and accounted for all three RBI.

Next up: Putnam will host Corvallis High School in the State Playoffs.

Game Recap

Rex Putnum Kingsmen beat Cleveland High School 6-1 in their final tune up of the year.

Drew Urben got the win for the Kingsmen on the hill, pitching four shut out innings, pitching out of a first and third jam in the fourth. Sam Booth, Colby Grace, and Trygve Nordby each threw one inning to finish off the game, with Booth giving up the lone Cleveland run.

Booth led off the offense with a first pitch homerun over the fence in right center field, his fifth on the year. Booth and Grace both had multiple hits and RBI for the Kingsmen early on.

Rex Putnam finished the regular season with an 18-6 record, Ranked 7 in the OSAA standings. They finished league 14-3 in the NWOC, tied for 2nd place.

Game Recap

The Kingsmen Jump Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Sandy.

The Kingsmen jumped out to an early lead over Sandy and took home a 7-3 victory on Friday. Putnam scored on a single by Jake Storment in the first inning and a two run double by Sam Booth in the second inning.

The Kingsmen earned the victory despite allowing Sandy to score three runs in the seventh inning. Sandy’s big inning was driven by a run scoring triple by Dukart.

The Kingsmen scored three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was helped with a double by Jake Foglio.

Jordan Proudfoot earned the win for Kingsmen. He tossed six innings, allowing zero runs, five hits, striking out four, and walking one. #20 took the loss for Sandy. He pitched five innings, giving up four runs, six hits, and striking out three.

Putnam had nine hits in the game. Joey Geertson and Sam Booth each collected multiple hits for Kingsmen. The Kingsmen were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Booth had 0 errors in 7 chances in the field.

Game Recap

The Kingsmen Jump Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Sandy.

The Rex Putnam Kingsmen jumped out to an early lead over Sandy and took home a 7-2 victory on Wednesday. The Kingsmen scored five on a walk by Sam Booth, a single by Zack Creswick, and a single by Jake Storment in the second inning.

Jake Storment earned the win for the Kingsmen. He pitched five innings, surrendering one run, five hits, and striking out eight while walking 4 batters.

Zack Creswick lead the way with two hits. He and Storment each drove in two runs to lead Rex Putnam.

Game Recap

Grace’s Walkoff Gives Kingsmen Victory Over Milwaukie

A walk-off double led the Kingsmen past Milwaukie 8-7 on Tuesday. Rex Putnam was down 7-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Colby Grace hit a bases loaded double off of Middelton, driving in three runs.

The Kingsmen collected eight hits and Milwaukie had ten in the high-scoring affair
Sam Booth earned the win for the Kingsmen. He pitched two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero runs, zero hits, and walking one. Middelton took the loss for Milwaukie.

Howard started the game for Milwaukie. He tossed six innings, giving up seven runs, seven hits, and striking out three. Joey Geertson started the game for the Kingsmen. He threw five and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs, nine hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Colby Grace led the Kingsmen with three runs batted in. He went 1-for-4 on the day. Sam Booth hit a HR to help with the comeback, his 4th on the year. Kody Hall, and Drew Urban also chipped in with RBI hits.

Game Recap

The Kingsmen Grab the Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Milwaukie Academy Of The Arts.

Rex Putnam took the lead late and defeated Milwaukie Academy of the Arts 3-2 on Saturday. The game was tied at zero with the Kingsmen batting in the top of the seventh when Andrew Howell singled off of Brad Mcvay, scoring Colby Grace who doubled to lead off the inning. Zack Creswick then did the rest of the damage by knocking in two when he got the second basemen to commit a based loaded error.

Jordan Proudfoot earned the win for the Kingsmen. He went seven innings, giving up two runs, six hits, and striking out five. Mcvay took the loss for Milwaukie Academy of the Arts. He tossed seven innings, giving up three runs, seven hits, striking out 12, and walking one.

The Kingsmen collected seven hits. Andrew Howell and Sam Booth each collected multiple hits for Kingsmen. Howell, Grace, and Drew Urban scored the runs for Rex Putnam.

The NFL Draft took place last week in Philadelphia. Held on the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, it was the first draft held entirely outdoors, and was the most attended in history with more than 250,000 people attending. Over three days, all 32 NFL teams chose players who they hope could be the future of their franchise.
